Darkness Into Light is an annual walk and the largest fundraising event for Pieta – the charity for suicide and self-harm prevention in Ireland. To support this cause and raise awareness, Kara Connect invites you to join our free webinar this May, focused on the very important and stigmatised topic of suicide.
Suicide is a complex issue that affects more than 720 000 people worldwide every year [1]. Stigma, taboo, and a lack of awareness around mental health mean that many individuals do not seek or receive the help they need.
Suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. A friend, family member, colleague, or employee may be struggling without anyone knowing. Our goal is to break the silence, open the conversation, and help create a safer environment for those who are struggling.
